Shift Time: Days
Shift Length: 8 hours
Standard Hours Per Week: 16 hours/week

Role/Position Definition:  Performs diagnostic medical radiographics on patients for hospital and outpatient clinic with follow through on paper work.  Provides fluoroscopic radiology for pain procedures using C-arm equipment.  Maintains all equipment and supplies related to the department.

 Duties & Responsibilities:    

  1. Ensures patient safety and the highest possible quality of care as regards of radiology technology.
  2. Communicates practice concerns/issues to Manager.
  3. Participates in periodic competency evaluations (mandatory inservice programs) in accordance to institute policy.
  4. Promotes guest relations; treats others with care and respect while maintaining privacy, confidentiality and dignity. Maintains a professional appearance and a clean, safe environment.
  5. Maintains flexibility in work schedule and job functions, as work load warrants, to ensure program growth. Performs tasks/duties as assigned or requested.
  6. File, log, and mark MR# on all radiological procedures done.
  7. Check paperwork, copies, and prepares written documentation as required.
  8. Maintains adequate supplies (orders stock for X-ray Dept.) to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
  9. Employs cost-efficient and cost-effective practices.
  10. Works in a collaborative relationship with healthcare team members and promotes interdisciplinary functions and mutual support amongst all members of the team.
  11. Performs radiographic examinations for hospital and outpatient clinic.
  12. Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
  13. Maintains X-ray, C-arm, and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts service for major malfunctions/problems. Cleans equipment on a regular basis.
  14. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  15. Transports patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room.
  16. Performs all other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Qualifications/Position Requirements:


  •  Graduation from accredited program of Radiologic Technology required.
  •  Previous relevant experience preferred.


  • Current licensure as a Certified Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  •  Requires proficiency in the use of general office equipment (i.e. copier, telephones).
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in computer usage.
  • Must have knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must possess excellent reading and writing skills.
